Good

Great value for money but the food was average. The windsurfing club was fantastic and the kids had a fantastic time. Staff was great but the front desk staff seemed to care less about your stay than the rest of the hotel staff.

If you are expecting high standards, it’s okay

A lot of options for sport: squash, tenis courts, Zumba, stretching, enough place to walk around. The food in the buffet was okay too. Italian a la card restaurant was nice. Mostly we experienced friendly and very welcoming stuff, they did the best what they could with what they have.

We were in April, in high season and obviously the hotel was not ready to accommodate so many people. Literally run out of clean glasses and beach towels. Long lines to get some food, 2 spoons for 6 salads and and in few minutes buffet was very messy and not appealing. Very noisy in the restaurant. Also a challenge to find an empty sun bed.

Enjoyable days in Mercure Hurghada

I like everything, they upgrade my booking to sea view room and it was fantastic the staff everywhere in the hotel with smily face friendly, helpful and professional too, the front staff are cooperative The location , sandy beach and the pools are great also the hotel has wide green area with nice white building design give comfortable view The food with varieties , we are with all inclusive menu and enjoyed the clean and tasty food , celebration for the new year is continuous through our staying and we enjoyed it The animation team did great job day and night , the room is clean with comfortable bed , the hotel is good value for the money we paid really I will be back with my family soon

windsurf station, socker field in the centre, latino dancing animation, pool for swimming

birds during eating outside, not enough sunbedss on the beach or near the pool, dirty beach outside the resort, The windsurfing station (which is part of the resort and not the hotel) has too little wing foil equipment, which is of poor quality and outdated (which was a big minus, as we were there to wing foil)

Quite, Relaxing and Safe gateway

Food is delicious and all the Chefs are experienced, friendly, warm and extremely helpful. Hot and soft drinks are mainly from a machine with good quality. There is also a great soft cream ice-cream available at lunch and dinner. Everyone in the restaurants and Azur bar are like an active beehive working for the residents pleasure and comfort. Special thanks to Chefs Taha, Shaheen, Gabr and the pasta wizard Chef Shamandy, you guys made us feel at home. Thank you to all the restaurants staff and the lovely waiters for the welcoming, kinds and heartwarming smiles. Also the Italian and oriental restaurants are Deliciously amazing The place is amazing and quiet, everything is in walking distance, you will always be surrounded by beautiful gardens, pool and private sandy beach with beautiful huts. If you want to unplug and relax definitely go there Hurghada Aquarium is in walking distance and amazing. For Shopping take an uber to Senzo mall or el dahar market for better prices but make sure to remove the hotel bracelet in order not to be taken advantage of. Also visit El Mina grand Mosque a beautiful spiritual place.

Rooms 2210, 2217 are very old and floors and the balcony needs cleaning, The shower door doesn't close and the shower is dislocated, Balcony needs an insect screen in order to be able to ventilate the room. Lighting is very poor and no space for luggage. Rooms and bathrooms need sound proofing and the AC is very loud and old The reception team is sometimes slow in handling urgent requests and you need to call many times to get what you need, They are great people, helpful and kind and I know it was a busy time, but I just wanted to leave an honest feedback in order for Mercure to achieve greatness. It would be great if they work on their entertainment at night and the advertising of it.

Old hotel that is not maintained Anything to buy or book extra is ridiculously expensive (taxi offered is 5x more expensive that taking a normal taxi, we needed tampons the ones at the shop of the hotels were sold 20eur the box of 8, boat trip and spa were about 2 to 3 time more expensive than online with pick up)

Good value for money

The room was clean and functional. I really liked the fact that the beach was easily accessible and that there were enough sun beds for all guests. The pool area is also nice. Finally, the resort is very well maintained (the garden is green) and there are a couple of shops in case of small needs (e.g., water, pharmacy, etc.)

The food is quite bad - overall bland and not particularly inspiring. The gym should be much bigger for a resort of this size. And I wonder whether the water of the pool or the sea may be contaminated. I got food poisoning which I cannot ascribe to anything but the pool or the sea - in fact I drank bottled water (and nothing else), ate only cooked food (never raw veggies or undercooked stuff), I brushed my teeth with bottled water, and showered with my mouth closed. Odd.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff

Really great spot, nice beach, super helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Marina especially really took care of us, and we extended our stay by two nights. Everything was quite perfect and the food was tasty.

During the day sometimes there was a lot of music, the animation team was sometimes quite intense, which is probably fun for some people, we just wanted to rest peacefully and take time alone,so for us it was a bit much sometimes, as there is no quite spot on the beach to hide

Good value for money. Overall Nice place for a family

The beach, activities, and animation team really exert the effort to provide variety of activities.

Main restaurant food was not consistent; sometimes good sometimes bad. The selection of Salads and soups were always strange. Meat sometimes good but not always. Fish was mostly a lot better. Staff need to smile more; they seemed overwhelmed and more focused on doing things rather than also taking care of guests. More attention was given to foreign guests than locals; which should have been an equal welcome.

Nice experience

Family room at a satisfying size, comfortable. All in option was more than enough, we even did not have lunch as we were quite full after great breakfast and snacks were enough in the afternoon. Also dinner was great. There were sunbeds enough for all at the beach and the sea was wonderful indeed. The location was good, so close to the airport, also shopping mall and marina was about 20 minutes away by taxi

Reception staff. We couldn't get along with the staff at the reception. I requested a late check-out, and the sign said it was 35 USD, but when they checked the system for my room number, they told me it was 45 USD for our room, which I confirmed and paid. When it was time for us to check out and return the keys, they said the actual fee was 55 USD and that their colleague had given me the wrong information, so they asked for the difference. We argued about this for a long time. Of course, I didn't accept this surprise charge that was added later; it's not about the 10 USD, the issue is that this mistake could have been 100 USD, and that's a different topic. I can't tolerate such incompetence. If you make a mistake, you compensate it internally, and especially for such a small amount, you can’t stress your guest out at the last minute. They even went so far as to question where the towel cards were, not seeing the ones we handed in, as if their goal was to create an issue. I couldn't imagine such behavior from Accor Group, which is my preferred choice for every holiday."

Wonderful location, excellent food, lovely staff - but be aware of the indoor smoking areas

The resort is set out really well in separate blocks in very well maintained gardens - and it's very well signposted with signs lit up at night so you can easily find your way back to your room. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Everything was exceptionally clean, the staff were welcoming and efficient with great attention to customer service. The food was exceptional with a wonderful variety and quality of local, national and international dishes at each buffet sitting. The location is excellent and I was very happily surprised to be upgraded to a room with a sea view. Sunbed and seating areas on the private beach have everything you need and there's easy access to boat trips etc.

It came as a shock to someone from the UK where smoking is banned indoors in public spaces to come somewhere where smoking is allowed in the reception, lobby, bars and entertainment areas (though not in the restaurant). This reduced my time spent in the lobby/entertainment/bar areas in the evening, which is a shame as it's the only place where there's free WIFI (and of course where I could access the all-inclusive drinks menu) - it was too windy/chilly to sit comfortably outdoors in the evening in January. This is a fairly common thing in Egypt though.

Great hotel with an amazing private sandy beach. Super friendly and helpful staff. Child-friendly hotel. There is a kids play area, kids disco and heated pool for the kids. Nice food buffet and great food at the pool and the beach.
